Pulldown menu question: How to make first option not orderable?

I've got a pulldown menu with three options/attributes. The last two are to order a size with the price next to it. They work fine. However the first option is like you see on a lot of menus. 'Please Select' in this case which should not be selectable. It's just there as essentially decoration. However, if I don't select the other two options, I'm stuck with an order of 0.00 which is not what I want. Is there a way that if this first option is still in place that the customer cannot make an order and must choose one of the other two options in the pulldown menu?

Sure, in Attributes Controller, there's a yellow section at the bottom saying "Used for Display Purposes Only". You need to click to edit the attribute you mentioned, and change this setting to yes.
