HELP! First class shipping not changing!

Hi everyone! I am using the USPS calculated shipping. But havent been able to offer first class shipping, because it is allowing people to get this option even though the package is weighing over 13 oz.
I need the first class shipping option to remove itself, if the 2 items that the person is purchasing weighs over 13 oz.
How do i do this?

I am curious why the Tax Basis is the Store and not the Shipping address ...

Also, what version of Zen Cart are you running?

Have you check that you have the most recent USPS shipping module installed and have followed the instructions for it:

I have no idea about the tax basis, i am not sure what it is suppose to be set at. That is how it was entered.

And the zen cart is 1.3.8a

On the Patch level ... what is the missing cut off digit?

Does this mean you did or did not upload the USPS Patch and follow the instructions to REMOVE, INSTALL and re-configure it?

NOTE: be sure to save your User ID from the module before uninstalling and re-installing ...

If you don't know why you have the Tax Basis set to the Shop, then it is probably wrong as most states have Taxes based on Shipping Address ... although there are some variations, check with your accountant ...

The updated USPS Patch for the May 12 2008 unannounced changes was released on May 12, 2008 ...

I'd get the USPS Patch for the May 12, 2008 unannounced changes and load it to your site and follow the instructions on how to REMOVE, INSTALL and re-configure your USPS Shipping module and see if that doesn't work better for you ... :smile:

Ok, if i did it correctly, it didnt work, it is still offering first class mail for a 15 oz package.

How much is the products_weight in the 15oz product that you are using?

When i do the estimate shipping thing, i have 2 products in my cart, it says:
Total Items: 2 Weight: 0.15lbs

Yes, on the Shopping Cart prior to Tare Weight ...

Can you go Edit the Product and tell me what it says in the Product Weight ...

0.15lbs is not 15oz ...

15 oz is 15 / 16 = 0.9375 ...

how are you entering the items weight on the product listing page? Are you using the decimal point system?

15oz = .9375

if your adding the weight as .15 then it's probably being interpreted as weighing between 2 - 3 oz

Actually if you can tell me how to change the weight to be in oz and not lbs, that would be great, then i know for the future. lol
