Convert CRE-Loaded Template to Zencart

I purchased a template that works with the CRE-Loaded program, but I really HATE CRE-Loaded, and I DON'T want to work with it.

Is there ANY way that I can use ZENCART in this template instead of Creloaded?

I am just beginning to build my site, and it is located at https://www.flytheroadnow.com/BMC_Store

Please let me know if you can help me with this.

Thanks.

Re: Convert CRE-Loaded Template to Zencart

Unforantely you will have to have this converted over to zencart, there is no convertor utility available.

You can start here https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=142 or look for services to help you, zencart forums has a help wanted section for that specifically.

Re: Convert CRE-Loaded Template to Zencart

Template conversions and Template creation are treated the same. One starts with an Image or PSD of the completed site and create it to work within Zen Cart.

As mentioned, you can do this yourself using the Turtorials or use the Commercial Section of the Forum to hire someone.

Re: Convert CRE-Loaded Template to Zencart

Thanks for the quick response!

So, if I follow the instructions in the link you gave, then the template I have will automatically be converted to ZENCART?

This doesn't sound too complicated.

Thanks.

Re: Convert CRE-Loaded Template to Zencart

It's not going to be automatic. The tutorial describes how to set up the base for a custom template; it doesn't go into how to do your customizations. As Rob said, you will have to manually adapt the graphics to your Zen Cart installation, and the installation to your desired layout if it differs from the default. Some of it may be quite similar, but much will probably need to be refitted.

Re: Convert CRE-Loaded Template to Zencart

Well, I just finished uploading the zencart files to my server, as well as my template files. I can see the zen cart, but my template does not show up in the zencart admin area for me to choose.

I still have my original CRELoaded site up at:

https://www.flytheroadnow.com/BMC_Store

and I also have the zencart loaded at:

https://www.flytheroadnow.com/catalog

But, like I said, my creloaded template is not showing up in the zencart program for me to choose, even though I did upload it into the includes/templates folder of the zencart on my server.

Can anybody help me out with this?

You are misunderstanding what people are telling you.
You cannot upload and use the template that you have purchased
You will need to create a new template from scratch and them modify this new template so that it uses the "look and feel" of the purchased template

Uploading your purchased template and trying to modify it is far too much hard work.
