Blank Sidebox Glitched?

I don't know what the issue is with the blank sidebox, but when you add code to it, the entire site shows as a white blank page.

I noticed several other people posted with the same issue and nothing seems to be rectified.

I do know the module is labeled for 1.3.7. Will this not work with 1.3.8?

I have tried twice now with this.
Once to add a Live Help Online/Offline logo which caused the same problem.
The second time, I am trying to add Shopmania logo and validation code for my site.

If it helps, Shopmania code is:

But it won't validate my site, because member code is removed.
Shopmania demands their code cannot be changed.

Appreciate some help with figuring out the issue with the blank sidebox.

As evidenced by your "edit" code, without the JS things work fine.

As the problem is the JS code, you could write everything in JS code with backup code for people with JS turned off.

If it was me, though :smile: - I like to keep things simple and would use something like this:

I tried that but shopmania doesn't recognize the tracking cookie.

Like I said, they don't want their code edited.

Something in both these codes screws with the sidebox and causes the pages to appear as white.

Next question would be, instead of:

Could the code be hard coded in the file to bypass whatever causes this issue?

Ok - I think I figured out it's an issue with the code inserted.

I have been reading, and with an issue like this, your supposed to make sure the apostrophes and quotations are commented.

Now that I am not the greatest with coding, I played with it and didn't quite get it to work, but the page does appear.

Anyone help me out with the proper editing of this code:

Ok - got it to appear now.
Had to comment the apostrophes.

Still not able to get validated, but I am going to have shopmania figure that out. Seems this happens on occasion.

If you can't get your site validated, contact shopmania directly about the problem. They had to manually validate my sites and they are all online now.
