Per item shipping - Enabled and not showing

Hi everybody:

I'm having an issue with my cart and the "Per Item" shipping. I go to the admin and enable it. I enter the following values:

Enable Item Shipping
True

Shipping Cost
2.50

Handling Fee
65

Tax Class
Taxable Goods

Tax Basis
Store

Shipping Zone
--none--

Sort Order
1

But it doesn't shows when the user is on checkout ??:cry:

I'm a bit frustrated here. Don't know why this happens. I need also the free shipper module, but I've uninstalled it, just to see if it would work, but no way.

I did a bit of tracing, and the object shows:
item Object ( [code] => item [title] => Per Item [description] => Per Item [icon] => [enabled] => [sort_order] => 1 [tax_class] => 1 [tax_basis] => Store

Any help??

Note: UPS Also doesn't shows, even if enabled.

Make sure that if you are using Sort Order on your Shipping Modules that you use a Sort Order on ALL shipping modules ...

Next, did you mean to charge a $65.00 handling fee?

If you Install the Flat Rate with these same settings (except the sort order), does it show?

When I add the Flat rate, the client gets:

Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.
Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

All modules have a different sorting order, Per Item being the first one.

The $65.00 handling fee is just a test value. Nothing shows anyway.

Check if you have in the Shipping/Packaging setting, in advertantly set the 0 weight to mean Free Shipping ...

If that is on, then it is looking for the Free Shipping freeshipper shipping module to be installed ...

That option is off (zero value) :cry:

But even if I activate it, the free shipping module appears (All products weight 0 on the shop). The "Per Item" module still doesn't...

NOTE: 0 weight, if it does not mean Free Shipping, then make sure that is off ...

Have you an URL that we could perhaps peek at for your shop?

It's still only offline.

Any other thoughts?? I've tried to go trough the code, but it's a bit difficult to get where the value is read... stopped when it gets to

if ($GLOBALS[$class]->enabled)) on functions_general.php

0 weight is off... (zero value)

Code doesn't stop unless you have:

1 bad data

2 bad code

3 corrupt file(s)

It is really hard to determin the problem if you are saying you now have bad code and you are offline so that we cannot even tell if you have a good install ...

I've just overwritten all the files. All the same...

Could you, please, indicate me where could I look for badly input values in the Admin that could be conflicting or not leaving the module appear in checkout? I could not imagine other place where the problem could be. Anyway the only solution left would be to start again from scratch (with an empty/new database)..

If I leave the module as the only one activated, I get:

Can you Install the Store Pickup storepickup shipping module ... do you see that one showing?

Virtual Products are something that do not require shipping, and are used in the calculation for Total, Item and Weight where they are removed from the equation ...

Always Free Shipping are something that do require shipping, however, that shipping is Free to everyone, and are used in the calculation for Total, Item and Weight where they are removed from the equation ...

Downloads "know" that they have no shipping and should never be marked as Virtual or as Always Free Shipping or they will be removed from the calculation twice ...
