1 site - 2 paypal accounts possible?

Is it possible to have 1 site and two accounts? Depending on which item sells i would have the money go to different accounts...

Is it possible? Of course i'll modify my product fields and each product will have STORE ID 1 or STORE ID 2. and then i plan to have a different paypal address associated with a different store id.

This is not possible. Set up 2 different shops for the different products and related paypal accounts.

Why is it not possible? It might not be possible right out of the box, what what if i modify the code and change the paypal paypal email address depending on the special product field...

...and what do you do if I buy one item that is flagged for one account and another item that is flagged for the other?

Because i don't offer combined shipping and everything is prepacked i'm going to actually limit one order per person. So as soon as someone adds an item to a shopping cart thy have to check it out.

99% of my customers buy one item only and the value is pretty high - from 500-2000$ so i don't think it would be a problem.

Configuring zencart to do what you want is a debatable issue. I don't think it is easily possible, nor do I think it is advisable. The payment system integrates with a large number of other aspects of ZC, including sessions, cookies, customer data, SSL, the whole IPN system, and a lot more.

But, ZC is free opensource code, so if you wish to modify it, then there is nothing stopping you. I envisage a big project ahead of you, and I doubt whether the forum will devote the time or the technical skills to assist you free of charge.
