deleted my flash header by mistake

i deleted my flash banner by mistake. i cant get back in contact with the web designer. could some let me know how i can get it back. the way i deleted it was when i was making changes to my welcome text.

could there be a backup in my hosting ftp or somthing like that im using abc hosting. if there is could someone let me now where i could find it. thank you

Contact your host. They should be making regular backups. Let them know exactly when you did the deed, and they can go back to the previous backup and give you a copy of the whole Zen Cart folder. You can then find the Flash file whereever it is in that set of folders and copy it where you want it.

They may charge you for this service, and if you ask them to find the exact file and move it for you, they'll charge you more, I'm sure.

On second thought...

You may have simply deleted the reference to the file when you edited the welcome text. The Flash file itself is likely still where you put it when it was FTPed to your site files. So all you have to do is find it (use your FTP program to go looking for it), write down the name and location of it, then go back in and re-enter the reference to it where you used to have it.

In that case you only deleted the reference to it - the text which said "show this Flash file". You can re-enter that text and the file will appear again.

To actually delete the Flash file itself, you'd have to go into your file and folder structure using an FTP client or your server's control panel and deliberately trash the file. If you didn't do that, it's still there.

I can't tell from here what you need to enter in the define main page editor to get it to reappear. But here is an Adobe Tech Note telling you how to do it.
