Quickbook Sync

Is this mod still being supported? I downloaded it but the install info doesn't make sense and both links to the authors return a bad link (either the site doesn't open or cannot be found errors) so I'm not sure how to get help from the author.

This is the very top area of the pdf instructions:
Zen Cart Quick Book Sync Web Service
Version 2.0
1.0 Written by: the_ancient 2.0 Upgrades by: srturner47
Web Site: https://www.theancient.us https://www.zencartmod.com

(Neither link works)

**The first thing it tells you to do is this: **
*"You will need to perform the following functions to prepare your company.
➢ Match Shipping Items, Sales Tax Items, Discounts and Fees, and Payment
Methods/Terms. This can be done in Admin->Tool->Quickbooks Sync Match. The
value you enter under Zen Cart does not need to match exactly. Quickbooks Sync
will search for this value in an order, and if found will use the Quickbooks value you
setup. The Quickbooks values MUST MATCH EXACTLY. Use a * under Zen Cart for
all other unspecified values. Use a * under Quickbooks to simply pass through the
value from Zen Cart. By default, when these tables are empty, all values will pass
through. A few things to note when matching items: all items match Zen Cart values
from the name except for Discounts and Fees which use their class (ex:ot_coupon) –
classes can be found in Admin->Modules->Order Total
➢ Setup whether orders are sent as Sales Receipts, Sales Orders, or Invoices in Admin-

Tools->Quickbooks Sync Match->Payment Methods/Terms.
➢ For correct matching which enables Continuing Sync or for use without matching, you
must follow the naming conventions you set up below for old entries in Quickbooks.
Customer Name Format must match Customer Names. Order Number Format must
match Order Numbers. Product Model Numbers must match Item names. Read more
about this below."*

**How can I do this without first having the mod installed? **

Then it says to
"Configure the Script
Go to Admin->Configuration->Quickbooks Sync"

Again, I don't have that option since the mod isn't installed. So I scroll down some more and find this (on the 7th page)::
Now it is time to upload the Files, Upload them in the File Structure they were in the zip
file:
/admin/qbAdmin.php
/admin/qbMatch.php
admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes/q
bSync.php
/quickbooksSync/qbClass.php
/qbServer.php

Then talks about installing the sql file, creating the QWC file etc… I assume I install the files first then copy/paste the sql patch…then update all of the options etc. If it's this specific I just want to make sure I'm doing it right. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. :)

Re: Quickbook Sync

a read through the last few pages of the support thread would tend to indicate that this is no longer supported.. (which is why I say it always pays to read through the support threads) Pretty sure the code hasn't been updated in a while either..

Re: Quickbook Sync

Thank you, I did read through the last few pages. I assumed that was the case, but figured perhaps someone else could help me since it seems a lot of folks have installed it or maybe, just maybe, the author would chime in. Holding breath
