Add an image to Contentmainwrapper

Hi All
I want an image at the top of contentmainwrapper that appears on the home page only. I'm not sure if this is a setting within admin, or if it's a banner, or whether I need to cut and paste in the stylesheet somewhere.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
