How to create New Link in Top Navigation Bar

I would like to place an image on the TOPNAVIGATION BAR as the one appearing on FREE SHIPPING in this page:

What do I need to do?

You would insert an image into your common/tpl_header.php template.

I've looked at my tpl-header.php file and don't know exactly
where in the template I need to add the image and could you provide me with a syntax text line example?

I would like for my image to be on the right hand side of the topnavbar.
