help: formatting buttons

1. Is there a way to change the size and color of the buttons: CHECKOUT, BACK TO SHOPPING, ESTIMATE SHIPPING, BUY NOW?
I tried editing the STYLESHEETS_CSS_BUTTONS_CSS but did not work.

2. Is there a way to change the BUTTONS?

Non-css buttons are images and there are button sets available in the downloads section or you can use a graphic editor to create your own button set - - just insure that you name them the same names as the default to avoid having to change code
