tpl_footer & tpl_header text based on language

Well, I finally worked it out, I believe. Sometimes it just takes soooo long to SEE a thing!

My modification to tpl_header.php was out of whack, as was my understanding of constant URLs. This bit off code did what I wanted:

<li><a href="http://www.beadedlilydesigns.com/?language=it"><?php echo BOX_INFORMATION_HOME_IT; ?></a></li>

It's defined in each language file as follows:

italian.php:
// Italian language home link
define('BOX_INFORMATION_HOME_IT', 'Home');
define('HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG', '');

and

english.php:
// Italian language home link
define('BOX_INFORMATION_HOME_IT', '');

Now there is still a Home link in the header for each language but each stays within its own language instead of both defulting to English.

Nope, spoke too soon :no: It works as stated, however, clicking on the header home button while in the Italian site empties the shopping cart

I was actually talking about this site that you mentioned:

I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

You know, after ALL that, it seems that the culprit was my cookie settings. I was working in FF on a project and had disabled all cookies, thus throwing a monkey wrench into things. Plus, having the language buttons in play cleans things up quite a bit, as well, allowing the instant switch back and forth.

Ahh well, they weren't wasted hours - I did glean some useful information!
