How can I suppress on the sideboxes from showing?

How can I suppress on the sideboxes from showing?

on the "home" page...or the first page that you see when you land on the site? I only want to remove the sideboxes on this page only.
Any help is much appreciated.

Oh, I am sorry, Misty. In my case, I wanted to get rid of the left column all together on the "home" page, and this article shows how to do that:
