change background colour shipping estimator

hello all,

i have an image for the background colour on my site , i have changed the stylesheet.css for this .

however i am trying to change the background colour for the pop-up shipping estimator as the estimator is using the background image for my site and the text can not be read,

i know i have to alter the stylesheet.css but everything i have tried has left me with the same image , can some one please help with this , and please explain in detail as i am not that clever lol.

thanks for the reply , i have altered the colour but it makes no difference  :frusty:   it still shows as the image from my websites for background of the shipping estimator ?

infoback.gif, place that image in your current template's
images folder...remove code in my first post..then add

thanks for that misty , but unfortunately i have lost the background image on my website now.

 but the shipping estimator is correct , how do i get the background image back on for my site ,and keep the shipping estimator correct ?

this stylesheet code many times and works fine...

Have you solved the problem? I see a black/white gradient bg for the main pages, and a white bg for the popup.
Is this something that needs the cache cleared to get rid of the problem version of the display?

The shipping estimator is already separated from the standard pages from #mainWrapper on dowm; any styling applied to the "body" in the main stylesheet will apply to #popupShippingEstimator unless specifically altered. The background-image was apparently applied to #mainWrapper (at least it is now), not body, so it does not apply to the popup.

You don't need to specify a background-image url to override the body bg. A declaration of
background: #ffffff;
(specifying bg color only)
will set all undeclared background aspects to default, i.e. "none" for image.

I can't offer better advice on how to make your backgrounds work, as they appear to be working now :)

the original..was highly coloured circuit board design..
maybe original poster will explain what has transpired.

What was/is the image name for the circuit board design, and where was it called out in the stylesheet?

Need time machine myself, as site now showing
diff background, cannot view name/path of image.
If OP does not report back with details..maybe time
to consider this request closed...once again, thanks

I get the error in both Firefox and IE6. Could it have something to do with the fact that Misty and you are both in the UK and I am in the US?
I really don't see why that should be, since I got to your site earlier. Maybe the Web is hiccupping right now?
