Emails Sent to Different People for Different Products

Is there a way to specify who will receive an email for a certain product? For example, if someone buys an elephant, I want the zookeeper to get the email, but if someone buys a chicken, the farmer should get the notification.

I'm sure this has probably been covered, but I couldn't seem to find the right search phrase to find it....

What are you going to do if an elephant and a chicken get ordered together?

Are you looking for a way to address Drop-shipping?

This is a topic discussed many, many times. Only practical solution is to split orders manually.

(You also have the difficulty of calculating and apportioning shipping charges... If, as Kim says, a chicken and an elephant are ordered, they are going to be shipped by two separate organisations, and the customer will be billed for each set of shipping. The customer may resent having to pay the duplicated shipping charge.)

While dropshipping has advantages, it has serious drawbacks if you are trying to combine all your dropshippers into one ZC store.

In this case the elephant and the chicken will never be ordered at the same time....
