Make the comments a searchable field

Looking for a way to make the comments section on the admin side of an order a searchable field

For instance: Website makes a sale, and the item I'm shipping has a unique barcode #, I'll scan the barcode # into the comments section, and complete the shipment. I need to find a mod, or find a way to search the comments field so down the road when i need to know who bought what barcode # i search it and there it is.

Sounds like a christmas wishlist!

For future reference, please respect forum the etiquette of not posting the same question in multiple scattered places all over the forum. When you do that, it creates disjointed discussions and means more work for the volunteers who answer your questions for free, and also creates confusion for the people who might read your question later when searching for something similar to what you're asking.
