Remove image box from main page new product listing

At present, I do not have images with my products. I have been able to adjust my category pages and new listing pages so that just the name of each product shows up.

However, if in admin>configuration>index listing>Show New Products on Main Page..... I permit new listings to show up at the bottom of the main page then in addition to the name of each new product, a box appears representing a missing image. The box has a red x and the product name in it for each product.

Is there a way to get this box to not appear for new image listings which appear at the bottom of the main page?

If anyone else is having this problem I found the solution. Simply go to admin>images> Image required...and change the value from true to false.
