Free shipping for Different sales total for different zones

Hi,

My question in listed here.

Free shipping for
Zone 1 and 2 - above $50
Zone 3 and 4 - above $80
Zone 5 and 6 - above $100
Zone 7 - above $150
Zone 8 - above $180

How can i achieve that with more then 1 zone for the same free shipping criteria? i only ship locally.

What shipping method(s) are you currently using for when the shipping is below those settings?

all r delivery from own courier.
we only hav 1 method.

a 10 charge applies for those that fall below

Did you write your own shipping module or are you using one that comes with Zen Cart?

If you are using one that comes with Zen Cart, which one are you using and what settings do you have right now?

We really need more details on what you are trying to do as you are not really giving enough information to understand what it is that you want ...

What settings are you using?

im follwing the one that is stated in the zen book
under the chapter shipping
i followed everything inside

Go to the Modules ... Shipping ...

Which Shipping Module(s), they each have a unique name, is/are installed on your site?

i have the modules
flat rate,
free shipping! and
store pick up.

is this the 1 you asking?

You can do the separate Zones by either cloning Flat rate flat or by getting the Add on for the Zone Flat in the Free Software Add Ons ...

Just do a search in there for:
zone flat

and you should see it ...

its not what i need
i tink i need a clone for 'free shipping option' module

the flat rate clones are still based on country. not zone withing a country. i.e on a larger scale.

what i need is on a smaller scale.

tried looking for 'free shippin' can't get any

mine is shipping in a country
lets say

my zones are
east
west
north
south
central
total 5 zones (all in the same country)

free shipping to zone
1 if above 50
2 if above 100
3 if above 150
4 if above 200
5 if above 250

hope this gives a clearer picture.

You can clone the Flat Rate flat or Free Shipping Options freeoptions shipping module and build the Zones that you want used on each one ...

Example:
Build a Zone for US and add just the eastern states
Build a Zone for US and add just the western states
Build a Zone with just the countries from europe
etc. etc.

Then apply those Zones to the right shipping module ...

NOTE: Free Shipping freeshipper was not designed to be cloned ... but Free Shipping Options freeoptions can be cloned ...

To learn about cloning you might do a search on:
clone flat
clone item

and there are numerous examples of how to clone a shipping module ...

but it do not seem to be the same
some coes w/ pet item thingy and some comes w/ location

mine is more lik the total sales amt den on a per item basis
so do i still clone flat shipping or?

i more detail example will be
a country that has A,B,C,D,E,F.....Z states (zone)

state A to F will hav free shipping if the sales amt is 50 and above or a charge of $10 applies

state G to L will have free shipping if sales amt is 100 and above or a charge of $10 applies

state M to R will have free shipping if sales amt is 150 and above or a charge of $10 applies

state S to Z will have free shipping if sales amt is 200 and above or a charge of $10 applies

but all are withing only ONE country.

To have a Shipping Cost up to a certain amount and then Free Shipping above a certain amount you can use Tables ...

But, you want to use multiple Zones for this ...

There is a Free Software Add On for Zone and Table that might work better for you as this lets you create your Zone Definitions and when you install this shipping module it will let you select each Zone and define the charges ...

Otherwise, cloning the Flat Rate tables is an alternative for you if this add-on does not work the way you want it to ...

NOTE: In either case, you have to build the Zones that you need for each group of states ...
