Re-Arranging Categories

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, tbh I'm not even sure if I've worded the query correctly:blush:

I am thinking about trying combine my top level categories more sensibly and would like to know if it's possible to move an entire category from one level to another.

Has anyone done this sort of thing and if so, how? Please bear in mind that any advice need to be in english:wink:

The process is quite straight-forward.

  1. Go to your categories/products controller. (ADMIN>>>CATALOG>>>Categories/Products

  2. On the right hand side you'll see a sequence of coloured circles.

  3. The PURPLE one with the "m" in it, stands for "MOVE".

  4. Select the M button for the category you want to move, then follow on-screen prompts and menu's for where you would like to move it to.

The same process can be activated at PRODUCT level.
