Connecting to a backend?

I'm new to Zencart.
Is there any support for XML-RPC/SOAP or another way to
connect Zencart to my backend?

Connect it to an crm/invoice/general-ledgersystem.
My customers do have real-world-stores too and also sell by
phone etc. and they want to let the WebShop show the
real stock-amount and their office-system has to know what's
been sold in the WebShop and an updated customer-address in
the WebShop database-backend has to be exported asap to the
office database... etc. etc.
Ideal would be a supported (by Zencart) soap-interface that offers methods to retrieve information from the backend and
offers update-possibilities to -for instance- change products,
add new products, etc.
A very important option to offer and... to survive.
