Disabling "All Products" link

Hi,

I wanted to know how to disable All Products link, which shows complete list of products the website have.

I had disabled in control panel, and link is not visible on frontpage but if you use direct URL like "www.yourdomain.com/index.php?main_page=products_all", its still showing.

So can anybody say me any tweak which can disable this.

thanks

Re: Disabling "All Products" link

There are numerous settings in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

Categories Box - Show Products All Link
Show Products All Link in the Categories Box

Re: Disabling "All Products" link

Thats what i was saying, I disabled it in control panel, its now read as False.

But still when you put a direct URL, then all products will show.

For now I deleted tpl_products_all_default.php from templates folder. So even if someone puts a direct URL, the products are not visible.

But I need any civilized way to deal this than just deleting the tpl file.

Re: Disabling "All Products" link

There isn't anything at this time, other than to remove the file, to prevent manually entering the URL for this ...

You can turn off the link with the switch ... but then, if you never want anyone to get there you would need to do as you have done and remove the file from being able to load ...

Thanks for posting the solution that worked best for you ...

Re: Disabling "All Products" link

I wrote some kind of a very short script for this, to catch the "pages" I dont want to display, and if users visit those I will redirect them to a page not found page

Maybe you can do something like that too?
