Composite Products

Consider the following scenario. In my store I sell the following jelly beans

• Red
• Green
• Blue

I also stock Black jelly beans but do not sell them.

I would like to sell jelly bean bags comprising of

• 2 Red
• 1 Green
• 3 Blue
• 2 Black

Ideally I would like the Qty-In-Stock for Bagsto be dynamic. eg if I have

• 200 Red
• 17 Green
• 78 Blue
• 94 Black

then that equates to 17 bags because Green is the critical factor.

When I sell a bag, then stock of the component items would be decremented, and similarly when component items are sold, the dynamic stock qty for the bags would be recalculated.

Is this posssible in zen cart ? How would I do it ?

That's not available within the core code, but one of the joys of open source software is the option to roll your sleeves up and make it happen.
