Replace 'filter results by' with advanced search

I am trying to figure out how to replace the filter results by with an advanced search.

any ideas?

i know i can turn off the 'filter results by' option but I want to bring in parts of my advanced search to the product section.

I've added both of my new filters to advanced search successfully; however, it has slowed my standard search by term to nearly a timeout. It still works, but terribly slow -

The file you are looking to modify to add to the advanced search is modules/pages/advanced_search_results/header.php - and you will need to modify the template files to bring in the new drop downs, but I could not at this point recommend my modification to anyone. As I said the advanced search works great for my new filters; but your basic search is really slow. :no:

Hi I would also like to know how to do that. I don't like "filter results" on my shop and it would be great to replace it with "search" or "advanced search" that displays only results found in this category. Thanks.
