product listing does not display add to cart

Everything for 'add to cart' and pricing is turned on.

problem: individual listings do not show 'add to cart' button until in individual page

There are a number of reasons why individual add to cart buttons don't show.

First to check is the value you have for Admin > Configuration > Product Listing > Display Product Add to Cart Button.

What are the other reasons the add to cart does not appear on? I went to the admin config product listings. Display product price/add to cart=1; Display category/mfctr filter=1; Display product add to cart button=2; display multiple products sqty box status and set button location=2 (on w/ qty box per product). The button is uploaded to the right place, since the other buttons seem to be showing up fine....so what's the problem????? Help!:frusty:
