inventory control - number not decreasing on storefront

Hi Zenners

I have a sales limit listed of 250 for a product. My back end in admin shows the number decreasing as they sell but the cart still shows the 250 listing in both the product view and the cart? I don;t think I missed a setting...probably wrong there

Re: inventory control - number not decreasing on storefront

sorry...late night..

http://www.awdwest.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65&sort=20a&page=2

The last two items have sold and they should be subtracted from the 250 available. When you add one to the cart the "MAX" number available to purcahse should be decreasing as well.

Thanks

Re: inventory control - number not decreasing on storefront

Sorry - the MAX number is static and does not decrease with inventory. It is strictly a limit on the number that can be purchased.

Re: inventory control - number not decreasing on storefront

Thanks for the heads up. Is there anyway to let the buyer know if it is sold out or soon to be BEFORE the push to buy? Selling point is supposed to be "buy before we run out"

Turn the inventory amount on?

Open your Admin> Configuration> Product Listing> Display Product Quantity> and turn it on.

Re: inventory control - number not decreasing on storefront

:) Even I have to think about all of the the things that can be turned on and off via the admin in Zen Cart. Glad you got it working!
