line break in product description in category list

Lets say i have a category called DVD's with no subcategories.

Now inside of here there are a few products with the following description all with this format...

<BR><font color="#FF6600">Languages:</font> English/Spanish
<BR><font color="#FF6600">Subtitles:</font> None
<BR><font color="#FF6600">Year:</font> 2005
<BR><font color="#FF6600">Discs:</font> 2
<BR>
<BR>
Long description to follow here.

When I click on the individual product, everything looks the way that I intend (with line breaks and fonts), but when the items are listed in the DVD category list, it shows up without the formatting I wanted (no font colors/line -breaks, etc).

Anyone know how to get these line-breaks/fonts/etc to work in the category list?

Yes. In the admin, I am editing the product from 'Catalog' -> 'Categories/Products'. Then going into my DVD category (type Product -General) and ediitng my test product. In the large textarea 'Products Description', i am entering the html code below...

It looks good in the store when I click the individual product. When when the items are listed in the DVD category page, all of my formatting is stipped out.

Because only a portion of the products_description is displayed, all formatting is stripped as partial formatting will result in errors on the display ...

This is an old thread, but it is one of the problems I am having... I understand and see that line breaks are being stripped out of the product description when on the category list page.... Is there any way to not have them stripped? Any work around?

Search on zen_clean_html for a thread with the instructions. It is very easy to do; you just have to be careful that the description doesn't truncate closing HTML tags, as that would cause problems.
