Help With Description In Specials CenterBox - Please?!!

Hi everyone. I have been trying forever it seems now to get the description into my specials Centerbox, but nothing is working.

Can someone please help me???

I've taken this code here and replaced all instance of "featured_products" with "specials_index", uploaded it to the correct override folder, set the descriptions in the admin, but it never works.
