GetResponse autoresponder

I am trying to have my zencart 'Create account' trigger GetResponse and send the welcome email from there but am not having much luck. There are two issues:

1. turning off the welcome email that is sent by zencart.
2. getting the firstname and email onto mu subscribers list at GetResponse.

Has anybody managed to do this, or does anybody have any ideas as to how I should proceed?

Hi guys, I have the same problem...

I would like understand which page send information to zen database and intercept the method and send information to getResponse using a cURL function.

In other words I need to insert a function that help me to update another db with some information such as
name, surname, telephone number, email address.

which page do I need to modify?

I have checked

• tpl_modules_create_account.php
• tpl_login_default.php

please any help would be apreciated

Simply write your own observer class to hook the NOTIFY_MODULE_CREATE_ACCOUNT_ADDED_CUSTOMER_RECORD notifier point, and use the data it supplies to do your CURL submission.
That way there's no need to touch any Zen Cart code.

Plus many addons use notifiers/observers as their sole code base. One I can think of off the top of my head is the Search Log addon by CJPinder.
