Turn off Quantity

Hmm... not sure how you set up the attributes for applicant name if you are not getting unique product displays in the cart. I just tested a text input product on my local demo installation (totally stock), and two of the same product with different text input display twice in the cart.

Re: Turn off Quantity

Just to be sure.....I'm thinking maybe my site is not behaving properly.

If I add a text attribute to the product, select the same product with the same attribute twice but enter something different in the text field, the item should come up as being unique and not simply increment in quantity.

Just have to be sure because my site does not do this. Maybe I'll do like you and have a clean install sitting on the server for testing.

Thanks.

Re: Turn off Quantity

Hmmmm...I set up a fresh install added one product 3 options for attributes two of them being text. Entered two of the same product same checkbox attribute, seperate text attributes, and it behaves the same as on my site. Increases quantity.

Re: Turn off Quantity

Really odd. This requires someone with more knowledge of the internal workings of the code.

Re: Turn off Quantity

Is it possible to get some help from any of the developers? What I really want to know is: How does the code recognize that a previous attribute of the same has been selected, then decides to increment quantity rather then just list it out in the cart?
