Second Zen Cart with add on domain?

Is it possible to have a second zen cart on an add on domain running on the same hosting account?

Re: Second Zen Cart with add on domain?

Yes, as long as you have separate databases, but SSL for each could be problematic.

Re: Second Zen Cart with add on domain?

I have a dedicated IP address and SSL, could I not use the same SSL for both carts?

Probably not - you will domain name mis-match errors

Is that because the same https name will have to appear in two separate config files because my SSL is already issued to my main domain?

Would everything be ok with a second SSL cert for the new add on domain cart?

A dedicated IP is required for any SSL, it is my understanding that one domain can only have 1 SSL as they only have one dedicated IP.

I have heard that some hosting companies will assign a dedicated IP to a sub domain, I however and not sure if this will pass PCI initial audit for the Gateway and Merchant account.

Also, the products should be related or you'll be shooting yourself in the foot with Google. Google no longer recognizes sub domains as their own entity, but rather they are interpreted the same as a directory like http://domain.com/store/
