Switching off all "Tell a friend" settings.

I have a bastard using my "Tell a friend" settings to send spam that looks like its coming from my site.

I've turned it off in the side box settings, but can't see how to turn it off in the item listings. Any ideas? Any other options to stop this?

Admin> Catalog> Product Types> Product General> Show Product Tell a Friend button and once you have it disabled - rename the file so that it can not be accessed.

We had this happen to us not long ago. It seems to be a known spamming strategy.

Thankyou so much for your help.. would never have found that without the pointer.

I've turned it off.. will go hunting for the file now.. hopefully that will slow them down.
