Your Shopping Cart is empty.

^___^ I'm so glad to hear it Brad! It definitely makes up the painstaking time I spent with my ISP trying to figure out the problem one email at a time >< I'm glad this thread solved your problem too.

P.S.
Zen Cart is more stable than my car or PC, amazing work Zen Cart team. Maybe the future Zen Cart can incorporate this session encryption issue. I'm sure it will.

Since suhosin and encryption are controlled by your hosting company's server configuration, Zen Cart has no control over it.

Re: Your Shopping Cart is empty.

Can you reproduce this error?

Does it only happen if you walk away from your computer for 20 minutes and then click on the shopping cart link?

If so, this is due to a session time out ...

If the customer was logged in, they can just login again and their cart is restored ...

If the customer was a guest, then there was nothing saved ... so they will need to re-build their order ...

I was not able to add only in IE6(On my laptop I have firefox, which did not have the problem). when i restart the IE6, then the issue appeared, but the other site of zencart are ok when i add to cart. i think this is my site's problem.

Re: Your Shopping Cart is empty.

All sessions have a time out ...

The default is 20 minutes ...

The session time out is a safety, and really is not a good idea to change that to a longer time limit ...

Re: Your Shopping Cart is empty.

You will need to talk to your host about the default session time out on your site ...

3 minutes is a rather low time frame ... and you should ask them to set that to the standard default of around 20 minutes ...

Look in your Tools ... Server Info ... and see what the setting is for:
session.gc_maxlifetime

and see what the two settings are ...

Re: Your Shopping Cart is empty.

Your Shopping Cart is empty. after upgrading to Zen Cart 1.3.9f !

I'm using CEON URL Mapping plugin/module and I had to update all the core files manually, basically follow the CEON installation instructions (specifically 2.Updated Core Files) and to be safe I manually copy and pasted all the required code from the CEON files into the same files in my new 1.3.9f installation uploaded with my FTP client and IT WORKED - HURRAH :D
