I wasn't exactly sure....:huh:

Just thought maybe the files that are writtten to the cache directory are of issue. Again, as I said, just a guess. I'm really not so familiar with the cart to know how the caching works for it.

Dr. Byte, what do you suggest doing as my next step?

There are all kinds of choices.

As suggested earlier, one approach would be to progressively copy customizations from the modified site to the test site and see when the slowdowns happen.

Hi again....

I have been busy with other projects....

I found that by simply copying the (customized) live site files to a new folder, and then adding the admin and cache files from a clean version, the Admin works perfectly.

I started looking around / comparing files. So far, nothing. I plan to comprehensively go through everything, though...just not this week!

Well, at least it works.... :smile:

DrByte--- I had checked all the admin files, nothing of issue.

It seems the CACHE folder was filled up with files, as the
debug option was set to ON and the site was logging all sorts
of events and such.

So...It seems the debug=ON caused my slowdown.

I've turned off the debugging option & cleaned out the CACHE folder.....I don't think the problem will be coming back. Hopefully. :blink:
