Comment about Zen Cart has a very nice wide array of features based on Oscommerce but has gone its own path. You can not install contributions directly from the Oscommerce web site onto Zen Cart. Some of the nice features include product attributes managers, template system, html editor for regular web page contents, built in coupon code system, ability to select what credit cards you accept, and more. An issue with Zen Cart right now is the Easy Populate contribution which would let you import products from an Excel sheet does not work yet. So if you need this feature we recommend the other shopping carts.

I use easy populate all the time and it works just fine.

Why would anyone install OS commerce modules into ZenCart? Zen Cart has many downloads for modules - see Free Software Add Ons tab above. Stock by Attribute being just one!

While dedicated and private are recommended for the customers' benefit, Zen Cart can work with private or shared IP/SSL

Re: ZenCart for B2B

Although it will work with a shared SSL or your own SSL, I have found that some hosts have a problem with shared SSL and Zen cart.

Always to have your own SSL, that way the url stays on your site---sometimes wary customers are put off by an entirely new url when entering a credit card number.
