How do I make my store front be my index page?

So I've set up Zen Cart with very few problems and have things working great including payment and all but I can't figure out for the life of me how to make my index page actually be my store front.

In other words if my site was https://www.xyz.com and they put that in their browser and hit enter I really want them to land at my store instead which would be https://www.xyz.com/store

I know this has got to be really simple :no: but I'm just not getting it. I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Is there something at xyz.com that you want to keep? Can it be integrated into Zen Cart? The best way to do that is to move Zen Cart from /store to the root directory. I believe a redirect can also be done with .htaccess, but it seems to me the simplest way is the best and Zen Cart should reside in the root if possible.
