Setting up two carts one PayPal clarification needed

From tutorial need clarification

I am setting up two Zen Carts and would like to use the same Paypal account for both. Is this possible?

Yes it is. When you set up the PayPal parameters for each of your Zen Cart sites you can give them the same email account (and/or API credentials) used for your single PayPal account.

Zen Cart will automatically tell PayPal the address of your store when a payment is submitted, so that the correct store is notified of transaction updates.

The only setup you need to do is make sure that the "Instant Payment Notification" (IPN) setting is enabled in your PayPal account profile under Website Payment Receiving Preferences, as explained in the PayPal setup/troubleshooting guide.
But Zen Cart says> Many people wonder what to do about specifying the Return URL or Notification URL. Set the URLs to the appropriate address for one of your stores. It must point to a valid address. But when processing transactions from your various Zen Cart stores, the appropriate address for each store will be substituted automatically.

Also the auto return is always going to go back to the cart/index.php?main_page=checkout_process because that is what is setup on PayPal and I do not see anywhere to setup another one.

When I talked to PayPal they gave me something about setting up site variables which Zen Cart already passes.

A little confused here. Please clarify this.

Thanks,
C

Re: Setting up two carts one PayPal clarification needed

As the FAQ article says, Zen Cart will automatically supply the correct IPN and Auto-Return URL for each store independently.

As long as your PayPal account is configured to work with one store, it'll work with multiple stores just fine.

What about the PDT Token (Payment Data Transfer) is that applied to both sites or just the one.

Thanks,

Re: Setting up two carts one PayPal clarification needed

You would have to use the same PayPal account details on all of your stores. That includes PDT token, paypal email address, API credentials, etc.

Re: Setting up two carts one PayPal clarification needed

Please can anyone tell me what the missing bit in

http://www.website.com/cart/index.ph...eckout_process

is.

It's the ' index.ph...eckout_process ' that's got me.

What is between the 'ph' and the 'eckout' ?
