Coupon tax discounting

Having a problem with coupon discounts. The discount is being taken off the tax of a discount excluded item so the cart total price is incorrect.

Any ideas????

It would help if you could give an example of the output you are getting at checkout confirmation.

Also some details of the coupon setup you have.

The coupon is set up to give 20% off hockey product, all other catagories are denied discount.

If the customer buys a £100 hockey stick including tax this is then discounted to £80 including tax, a value of £11.91 tax (17.5%)

If an excluded catagory item is purchased, say a cycle for £100, inclusive of tax amounting to £14.89, the use of the voucher in a mixed sale causes the tax for the cycle to be discounted by 20%, i.e. reduced to £11.91.

Therefore, the total sale figure is £68.09 for the stick (exc. tax)+£85.11 for the cycle(exc. tax) + £11.91+11.91 stick and cycle tax which amounts to £177.02 instead of £180.00 including tax.

For some reason the tax on the cycle is being reduced by 20% !!!

Are you using Zen Cart 1.3.8

I can't reproduce this on a clean 1.3.8 install. Can you provide some more information.

1. The version of Zen Cart you are using,
2. The settings in admin->Modules->Order Totals->Discount Coupons
3. The structure of the restrictions you have applied to the coupon
