How come my site is not stable? HELP PLEASE!

how come my zencart is not stable? Sometimes my website goes down and gets an error. sometimes it goes in maintenance mode: > "Sorry!

There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you." even if I don't do anything and sometimes I got this error message: "0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED

Those types of errors are server related and not ZenCarts fault.
If the mysql server is not available you get the "Sorry! There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you." message

ow. i see. uhm, so what's the easiest solution for this kind of problem? sorry, im new in website stuffs.

Find a stable Host that caters to Zen Cart

this is the first time for me to receive this message with my host.

is that bad??? i have a vps package with 1&1.

is there a way to setup the mySQL in order to never get this message?

i also started having same peoblem. thing is that i have 2 zencart installed and 2 databases on same host, one works and another doesnt.

i check DB thru Cpaneltest feature and it checks out. I also checked password in config.php and all is correct.

The reason for this is because your host has the MySQL throttled. You may want to contact them and ask if they can increase the database connection limits to higher numbers.

Which is most unlikely for 1 &1 to raise the bar. :lookaroun

I'm facing the same problem. Can you tell me if Zencart manages the DB connection well ? Does it close the DB connections properly once it opens one ?!
