Zencart+Ajax made easy? solution discussion

okay i added the include and removed my dbconnect and now it doesnt work. below is the ajaxsearch.php code. can you see is anything else missing?

That is not the way you are supposed to iterate the result from db query. You can check the default search page or search the package for $db->Execute and you will see many examples of the correct way to use result returned.

Anyhow, if you need further assistance, please post in another thread so that we dont have to go off topic here.

There is also a completely different, alternative solution to this problem - however, not complete yet :/

ZenMagick implements basic Ajax support. Examples, including drag & drop can be found in the ZenMagick demo store demo.zenmagick.org

In contrast to yellows solution, in ZenMagick the Ajax requests only include data, not HTML.

Also, the next version of ZenMagick will include Ajax support for shipping methods and thus allowing an Ajax based shipping calculator :)

Look, I haven't really got a clue as to what your problem is, so if you have to blame people could you please explain why?
It also seems that you haven't really paid attention at all because I am the author of ZenMagick.
In any case this totally off topic, so let's move this to PM instead.

I'd just like to add that I resolved this issue with Mrchristoh via PM to everyone's satisfaction.

It appears that this has been some unlucky coincidence. We never received the initial email he was referring to. Subsequent emails (after our PM conversation) have proven that the email address he used does not trigger spam.

However, like many other people with publicly available email addresses it happens that my email address is used as sender id for spam. I regularly get bounced spam emails with my email as sender/return address. I am sure you'll agree that there isn't a lot to be done about with the state of affairs of current email technology.

Right, back to business and the topic this thread is all about: Ajax in zen-cart.
