Is there a Heartland Payment Systems payment module?
I know that someone has a question about it, so there must be one available from someone. Maybe from Heartland themselves?
I'm in discussions with a Heartland sales person (excuse me, Relationship Manager) and they said they used Authorize.net. Now that I've asked more questions, they're pointing me to HPSConnect which does not appear to be Authorize.net at all.
The Heartland Payment System's web site is of little help. All it says is "Heartland WebConnect’s user interface is simple to customize, so the payment screen matches your website’s look and feel."
There is no mention of Authorize.net so I don't believe my "Relationship Manager"
Just FYI, we're currently using the Zen Cart Credit Card module that e-mails the middle digits. It works very well. We use our current processor and key in the card to our terminal and charge that way. The nice thing is, the customer's card isn't charged until we're ready to ship the goods and if it's declined, we don't ship.
The not so nice thing is, if we've got a ton of orders, it's a SLOOWWW manual process.
We can add Authorize.net to our current processor (First Data), but Heartland's other costs seem to be better.
I just can't seem to get a straight answer on their shopping cart gateway.
Any help form the community would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I had a Heartland module created, but I've run into a snag getting it installed on my production server - once I get that squared away, I'd be happy to share it.

That would be wonderful!

yeah, I'm starting to wonder about Heartland. I've talked with a few people over their - including the Relationship Manager, Service Manager. Over 6 weeks now and no good answer about their 'Web Connect'. I pointed out the problems on their site, how the Jump To takes you to the main page and if you search their site for Web Connect, you get a couple of links that give you a SQLbase error.
Anyway, their last answer to me was, "Yeah, we found out that that product wouldn't really work for you guys. It's very technical and you'd need a web developer at your end". After I told the guy I was a web developer also, and to contiue with the technical aspects of this product, he started stumbling over his words like a fire walker.
I'm not impressed by that outfit...

Heartland had a major (probably record-setting) security breach late in 2008. Unless you're counting on the 'lightning-won't-strike-twice theory, I'd look elsewhere, despite their prices.

Heartland's gateway is actually the TPI Smart Payment Gateway which was sold to Hypercom. Many processors "private label" this gateway. I have the SDK kit for this gateway and a demo gateway account for testing.
If anyone needs a free gateway, I currently have access to the Orbital Gateway. No setup cost, no monthly cost and no per item fee. Zero cost!
Also there is already a module for this gateway listed

Glad to see someone else is in the same boat I'm in with Heartland! I've been fighting with Magento for the past month or so and have had no success getting it to cooperate.
I did a search through the site here and found the Paymentech gateway plugin- is this the one you were referring to, greatlaker? And I'm curious as to your progress, Zeit- were you able to get something to work with the Heartland API, after they did their round of upgrades this summer?

Has anyone been able to get a working module for Heartland?

Hi, as you may have already found out, Heartland is hard to work with and there's no direct integrations for carts out there for them. Yes you can try to develop around 'Web Connect' or Frames, etc., but that's not very professional for your customers. A direct CC processing gateway that doesn't take the customer away from your site is what everyone is looking for.
I would talk to a sales rep at Kosmos, they've gotten a direct integration going for a client and can do the same for you.

Sorry Alex@Kosmos,
But Heartland is not hard to work with. They've been processing my Zen-cart transactions since day ONE and my customer never leaves my site.
Slamming a competitor is not the way to gain favor. From the looks of the website you listed, you don't even offer zen-cart implementations.
It's probably best that the moderators edit your reply due to inappropriate comments regarding a competitor.

Hey RixStix, can you quickly explain how to setup Authorize.net with Zencart? Which payment module? I recently switched to Heartland Payment Systems, who are an Authorize.net reseller, and I'm just wondering which Authorize.net module to use (SIM) or (AIM)?
Thanks for any help in advance.

Once all the Heartland paperwork is in place, Heartland will send an email to you regarding Auth.net setup. Heartland will also trigger Auth.net to send an email to you with additional setup information.
It's pretty straight forward where they either provide the info to enter or tell you how to generate the entry. Auth.net support also appears to be US based.
Use the Auth.net AIM module that is built into zen-cart.
If they didn't tell you, Heartland can also utilize the PayPal gateway. The rough figures show that 2000 transactions per month is the tipping point. Less than 2000, Auth.net is more economical. Greater that 2000, then the PayPal gateway is more economical.
If you have problems, I'll try to help.
