Can I turn off ALL attributes?

Is there a way to turn off all of the attributes instead of going in and deleting them after I add each product?

Key phrase here is "after I add each product"...
Just do not add attributes to the ones that you do not want them added to...

LOL! I must have mis-communicated. I didn't add any to begin with. It's like a default setting is turned on somewhere, that automatically offers choices between a bunch of colors (red/orange/green/etc), sizes (x-sm-add $40/etc), gift options (collectors tins/etc), and features (custom handling/same day shipping/etc).

It's shown up on everything I have tried to put in so far. Then I have to go to admin/catalog/attributes controller, find the thing I've added, and delete all of the attributes for that product.

I thought there MUST be an easier way!

Adding that I don't see any of these things while I am on the page creating the product listing. They just show up afterwards.

Try adding another paying attention to screen information.

If you only add the product there is no association to any attributes

The only thing I see on the screen that has anything to do with attributes is:

Product Priced by Attributes: And that is set to no. There is nothing about colors, gift options, or anything else:dontgetit

I can put another of her cloths in if you want, but the things that have shown up in that link from above are exactly the same as it shows with each new product.

No, I have created these categories and new products, not editing old (provided examples).

I have removed them from all of the listings except the one that I linked to above so you could see what it was doing.

I didn't see any attributes on the products. Is it still happening? I've never encountered that and I've entered tons of products. Are you certain you didn't copy something from somewhere?

I can't tell you what happened, but someone gave me a hand and it's now working fine! I don't have a "solution" because they weren't quite sure, but stated that > all I can theorize is that somewhere along the way you added all attributes to all products/categories....

Not sure how I would have done that, as I've always entered them the same way, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised it I messed something up along the way in there.

I guess I can describe my experience as "I'm driving without understanding the language of all the roadsigns here" <giggle>

I'm glad it's sorted. It's nearly impossible to remember every keystroke and everything you might have clicked when doing something like this.
