Coupon not working.

I set up a sign up promo, $5.00 coupon. It worked once but now does not work. Customers get message - you can only use this coupon 1 time even though its their first purchase. I removed limits of 1 use per user and 1 use per coupon and it works but I would like it to work with limits as well.

Set it for 1 use per customer with unlimited total uses.

Yes could do that but I guess the key issue here is why did it work 1 time only? Essentially customer wants to use coupon. If system tells customer they have already used the coupon its either based on user or use of coupon so which one ist it?

ok, I get it. I had use of coupon set to 1. So first customer to use it worked and since set to 1 end of story. Yes, I do feel stupid!
