remove "add to cart" button for only 1 product

One of my products is simply a link to another site where customer's can purchase an item in support of a cause...

the item is here: http://xoexplosion.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36&products_id=153

does anyone know how to remove the "add to cart" button for this one product? I've tried making it free (but that still lets you add to cart) and removing the qty (but that still lets you add to cart)...

any help is appreciated,

open NOTEPAD on your computer.

Paste the following text into it...

#cartAdd {display: none;}

save the notepad file as p_153.css...

... (you do this by choosing "Save As" when saving, then select "All Files".)

Make sure the file is saves as p_153.css and NOT p_153.txt !

Upload that file to:-

includes/templates/studiofibonacci/css/

The ADD TO CART on THAT PRODUCT ONLY will now not display.

What you have done is create a PRODUCT SPECIFIC stylesheet - specific ONLY to Product ID 153, which is your zencart shop's ID of that product.

I never knew that the css overrides could be for a specific page. I thought the overrides applied to all pages.... learn sumthin' new every day ;-)

Yeah, I've found that being able to load css or javascript on specific pages like is very helpful. There are some help docs around that elaborate on that various options a little bit more.

Yeah, those devs are sneaky. They stuck the CSS_read_me.txt file in the CSS directory where no one would see it.:P
