Newsletter Sign Up Icontact

Hello -
I was wondering if anyone uses Icontact for their newsletters and if there is anyway that when a person signs up for the newsletter that it can go straight to IContact.

I saw in post
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69794&highlight=newsletter+sign+form
Where they were able to do something similar with constant contact.

Please note I am VERY new at CSS and PHP so ..........

TIA
Mona

Re: Newsletter Sign Up Icontact

I use php.list, and I disabled the zen-cart newsletter sign-up. I then placed a link on the top of my zen-cart pages (or you could put it in a sidebox) linking to my php.list sign up page that I created. My sign-up page is not part of zen-cart, it is part of my main website. It works fine for me.

Re: Newsletter Sign Up Icontact

I'm also a big fan of phplist. I did essentially the same thing except I integrated it into an iframe as one of the information pages. Works great! (the link from your store is much easier to do.)

I've used phplist for years but I'm new to Zen. Let's see, you would turn off Newsletter signup in the admin panel, I think. Then you should change the language in /languages/english.php where it refers to Newsletter and Email format to just talk about email. I did all this but don't count on perfect memory. Anyone else reading this got more details?
