Create new order without payment on a live store

Is there a way to create a new order without processing a payment on a live store.

I would like to create the order through admin this way customers do not have this ability.

what is the best way to accomplish this?

using zen-cart 1.38a with tons of plugins

I see this payment module but cant find any information on it...

What are you trying to do? Is this something someone ordered and paid for outside of your Zen Cart store that you want to record?

Consider:
Add Customers from Admin http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_41&products_id=454
and
Admin login as customer http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_41&products_id=829

Someone else may have additional info/suggestions.

I have considered those and yes it is for orders outside our website. Add customers through admin or admin login as customer i will still have to submit some type of payment, won't i?

This additional order was placed outside of the website, but we have zen-cart integrated with quickbooks. it is setup where the order number is a PO number in quickbooks. So if i can't create an order on zen cart, our numbers will be skewed in quickbooks and on the site.

I'm sure there are better ways, but when i was doing something similar, I'd enable the COD module, run the orders, then disable it again. We weren't doing much business then so I didn't have to worry about a visitor using COD.

There's a thought! If you can figure out when your site isn't busy (like late at night or early in the morning), you could put the site down for maintenance, activate the COD module, enter the orders, deactivate COD and bring the site back up. I suppose it depends on how many order you'll have to input.
