help with my custom template

Hello folks I followed the steps to make the custom template folder and so forth but when i use the template all the colors are differnt for everything.

When you change Templates you should immediately do this:

Admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller - bottom of page has a 'reset' butten.

I did that in the directions. I just did it again to make sure i dint forget an its the same. Im going bonkers trying to figure this out

I'm going to ask a really elementary question here.

Did you create/modify a stylesheet.css for your new template?

I'm asking because it appears that the stylesheet.css being used is the one from ../templates/template_default/css/

No i dint do that. Point me in the right direction an i will. thank you for your help I am compleatly new to this so I am learning as i go.
