HELP! my site has gone down and im receiving this error!

hello,
one of my clients contacted me today asking for help as their site has gone down.

he is getting the following on the index page;

1 Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_2cc4_0.MYD' (Errcode: 17)
in:
[select distinct p.products_id, p.products_image, p.products_tax_class_id, pd.products_name, pd.products_description, p.products_date_added, p.products_price, p.products_type, p.master_categories_id from products p, products_description pd where p.products_id = pd.products_id and pd.language_id = '1' and p.products_status = 1 ]

any ideas!? im totally stumped!

Just to make things worse! im also receiving the same error message when i go into admin>>Catalog>>Categories / Products

A search of the forum for Errcode: 17 - got 97 post results - have you checked them?

humm i informed names.co.uk about my error and theyr restarted my sql server and everything is back up and running ok.
