Im really stuck. Please Help. Thank you.

I am trying to change a text color in my style sheet. I have been working on this for atleast 10 hours or so and have been searching the fourum here for atleast 2 hours. I dont know what i need to change to get the text from black to yellow on my site. The section of text is the model numbers and product weight and what not in the all products listing link of Zencart 1.3.8 I have attached a screenshot JPG of the site so far with the black "Invisible" text highlighted in blue. Please help me out and email me the answer at [email protected]. Thank you. I really appreciate the support. (PS - It is the same thing in the shopping cart contents screen) same line of code or seperate? Im stumped.

:censored::oops:

Re: Im really stuck. Please Help. Thank you.

Save yourself a lot of time and download and install the Firefox browser and the Web Developer plugin. Took me 10 seconds to find, in your stylesheet:

**.productListing-even {
background-color:#000000;
color:#ff0000;
}

.productListing-odd {
background-color:#000000;
color:#ff0000;
}**

Add the parts in red.

Another useful tool you can download for Firefox is Colorzilla. Find out the color code of the color you're wanting to change, then search for that color code in the css.

Wow....you guys are great. I really appreciate the help. Just installed Firefox and the plug ins.....Page is about done in no time flat. What a lifesaver. But.......Now i've got another problem. I have got the colors all set to fit my site, however, I decided to go with white hyperlinks. It seems to work ok, except for in the shopping cart display it self. That has a white background that makes my white links invisible. The product description there is a white link. It is the only one in the whole site that is ended up this way. I would like to keep my white shopping cart display as is. Can i change just this one particular link color to black without affecting all the rest? It seems that each time i try, it changes the color of all the links, or changes no colors at all. Stumped again.

Re: Im really stuck. Please Help. Thank you.

Add this to your stylesheet:

#cartProdTitle {
color:#000000;
}

Change #000000 (black) to the color of your choice.

One more tip - I got the URL of your site by staring closely at the image you linked to. It's a lot easier if you provide a link to the site in your first post.

Well.....thank you again for all the help. The URL to the site never crossed my mind. I just took it for granted that a style sheet is a style sheet regardless of the site. I will keep that in mind if I ever need to post again. Hopefully It won't come to that, but if it does, I will definately provide the url.

Thanks again for all the support.

Re: Im really stuck. Please Help. Thank you.

You're right, and as long as everybody uses the stock Zencart stylesheet, we wouldn't need to see the site most of the time. Problem is, many people use custom templates or modify the stylesheet on their own before they post questions.

The main reason I like to see the site is so I can test my advice with the Web Developer plugin before I post an answer - I really don't like to be wrong :blush:.
