My site stopped working today

it gives me HTTP 500 internal server error

my web site works but my Zen Cart shopping cart stopped!
What happened and what can I do?

We need more details - Did it work before? What have you changed? What has your host changed?

ask your host if they have upgraded php and if so did they set it to run as cgi,

it worked this morning and I got the orders printed. 30 min later it came up with the error when I logged back into admin. the only thing done today was just printing orders. My Host has not yet replied to my concerns. but my web site works fine, only zen cart has the error.

I edit with Front Page and when I went to check the hyperlink it said web site not available

my host sent me a message that said i was using php4 and zen cart required php5 to be installed. I changed it but the problem is still there. How could it be working all this time and suddenly stop?
I did not make any changes prior to when they said to chg tp php5.

Blue host is listed as a certified host.

as another certified host I would expect them to know that zen cart dosnt require php5 ( not yet anyway )
also your site wouldnt just STOP working,
I would once again ask them what they changed

they changed it to the fast cgi and it started working again. They were also stumped but admitted that the problem was on their end.
I do not know what happened but it was sure strange to me!

If they had it set to suphp then the issue was most likely that they didnt chown the site to username:username and had files and folders with too high a permission,
