Images Large Pop-Up

Hello,

I am having a real hard time figuring this out, I have been searching for hours for a resolve but cannot find one. My apologies if this has been covered before.

I have uploading my thumbnail sized images to myzenstore/product_images/productname.gif

I created a medium and large directory in there and then uploaded the bigger images without a prefix i.e
myzenstore/product_images/medium/productname.gif
myzenstore/product_images/large/productname.gif

I was expecting Zen Cart to use the medium for the product page and the large for the pop-up however this is not the case. Zencart is using the thumbnail image for every image. I have prefix set to nothing but have tried renaming an image with the prefix _LRG and it still does not work.

Any help would be extremely welcomed as I have run out of ideas and have less hair on my head than I started with!!!

Images should be in zencart images folder...

Well I have renamed the folder from product_images back to images, renamed all the images and added _LRG to images in the /large/ folder - unfortunately it still doesn't work. What am I missing?

Here is my setup now:

Thumbnail images are in: /images/

Large images in /images/large/ with _LRG suffix.

_LRG and _MED suffix set in admin.

My config file is define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');

What am I missing?

Ahh think I have sorted it.. My thumbnail images are .gif and the large images are .jpg. If I rename to .gif they work.

Can't I use the images this way then? Is there a workaround for using .gifs for thumbnails and .jpg for large images does anybody know?

Ok quick fix, downloaded a freeware batch converter which has converted all the gifs to jpgs... everything working ok now.
